Janet Jackson’s Untold Rhythms: Come Back To Me

Come Back To Me is the emotive ballad of Janet Jackson’s third studio album, Rhythm Nation. It’s the lovechild of three creative talents reembarking on the success they shared years earlier, while set to achieve something on a stratospheric level.

Printed to a couple of already-degrading 24-track AMPEX tapes, would be an amazing composition and balance of live and synthesized instruments, a collaboration between some classically trained musicians and two of the hottest producers in their hit-making prime… As well as a few vocal
performances from an insecure vocalist.

OK. I'm excited. Very excited! I was only 5 years old, but her harmonies were and are ecstacy upon hearing that track for the first time.

This was on Rhythm Nation 1814, which was her fourth studio album, not third.

But I'm not understanding what this is a teaser for. What is in the works? What's the project?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Classic Janet. I got my 1814 pin in the 7inch UK box set. Still got it somewhere.

That's correct, I accidentally copied the quote from the draft version, rather than the article itself which is correct.

It's for a radio documentary.

Love it, these 3 songs in the album, that are plaintive ballads.

.

Lonely

Come Back to me

Someday is tonight

.

It is the red light zone at the end of the album. Janet shuts it down.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Janet can really sing. Never understood why people say she can't sing. Being a strong vocalist is different from singing. Singing is about passion, emotion and taking you on a journey which Janet definitly does and she has a beautiful and unique tone. How the hell did this person get a hold of these clips? They are a freaking genius. I WISH Janet would release some behind the scene footage and studio footage from these eras.

Janet for the most has always been looked to as more an "entertainer" than a "singer." She might not of had the type of range as like a Whitney, or such other R&B mentions of her day such as the likes of Shanice Wilson and Stacy Lattisaw, but she's concepted a signature singing style that's all her own. I guess people have totally forgotten in what she gave off on her debut too with the ballads "Love and My Best Friend" and "Forever Young." Furthermore, RN1814 stands one impactful music masterpiece and will totally...officially wipe the floor with the dark demonic no substance or real content repetitive having BS today!!

I know that but some people totally disregard her voice completely and I never understood that. She has a unique tone that is beautiful and nobody emotes a song like she does.
