Diddy Gets The Blues In HBO Film

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs will star as 1930s blues musician Robert Johnson in the
HBO Films feature "Love in Vain," which Tim Blake Nelson will helm. Production
begins in September in Mississippi. The project is about Johnson, considered
one of most influential Delta bluesman even though he died at age 27 and only
recorded 29 songs, including "Crossroads," "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom,"
"Sweet Home Chicago," "Terraplane Blues," and "Love in Vain."

Combs has had supporting roles in the films "Monster's Ball" and "Made." Nelson
has directed such films as "The Grey Zone" and "O."

Combs is currently on the charts as a guest artist on B2K's "Bump, Bump, Bump,"
which is No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. As previously reported, this summer
he will release a full-length album of dance music on his Bad Boy label. The
set's first single, "Let's Get Ill" featuring Kelis, was unveiled last month at
the Winter Music Conference in Miami.

I'm sure Prince was rumoured 2 be playing this part some years back.
