It speaks to the epic and legendary nature of her catalogue that we can all pick outstanding favourites for her to perform and she will never be able to get to all of them. I think this setlist is perfect because it balances the needs for hits (general public) with the obscure album tracks that only fans will know.
I think I'm most interested in seeing these highlighted songs performed. Looks like someone has been paying attention to their chatter on social media. Island Life was always a no brainer (for me at least) and should have been a single back then. While everyone was stuck on R. Kelly's remix of "Anytime, Anyplace," My CD player was still stuck on repeat with, "The Body That Loves You." Easily one of her best sensual joints. And those harmonies are to die for. It would be sooo cool if Chuck D actually came out on a couple of dates and performed with her live. Houston would be a good start. NYC would be a given.

I hope there's new life breathed into the familiar tunes she's done consistently. I think this is a smart move for her at this juncture in her career btw. This tour will hopefully remind and introduce the general public that Janet has a brain, not just a fine booty.
Yes there are some remixed and reimagined versions, e.g. one song is mixed with Aaliyah's Rock The Boat.
I watched on instagram and live feeds of the concert. This is the best tour/concert that we have had in a while. The tour opener is powerful, especially when you have racism, police brutality, white nationalists, poverty, etc all right now. I am glad she came out with the Knowledge after that.
Everything about this tour is perfection, the clothes the set list, and that powerful opener lives up to the title of the tour. Its a tour that is really needed for this generation because there are no pop stars of today that are socially conscious nor politcal and this tour really tribues RN/VR and she even sung some underrated gems.... damn I was talking like I was actually there! I could hardly sleep last night. I am SO proud of Janet!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS LIVE! I just wish she had not taken out Scream. Her body is EVERYHING too!

Cool. In what ways do you feel the "SOTW" Tour is better than the "U" Tour? Just curious...
It has a powerful theme and it tells a story through out the show. The theme reasonates now more than ever given the current events and issues that we face today. The opener is a banger in itself and she walked her fine ass out there with her cane to the Knowledge! I nearly died, I love that song and its been forever since Janet performed it live! That is why I loved all her tours in the past because she didn't just give performances, she tries to tell a meaningful story and it has a theme through out. With this tour, she is focusing on social issues, politics, injustice, empowerment, overcoming, self love and tributing her RN/VR eras. Its interesting to me that she performed "What About". She hasn't performed it since VR. After she performed the song she said "This is Me". This really hurt me honestly. I feel like she was referring to her relationship with Wissam. (I honestly would not be surprised if her inclusion of that domestic violence song was because of her relationship with Wissam which seemed very controlling). Janet seems very happy and focused now. She was hitting all those old dance moves and moving on that stage like she was 20 something. That bish slayed, I can't wait to see it live.

On this tour this is the best Janet has performed in YEARS. Im Blown away!!! This was WAY more than what I was expecting! So much energy, so MUCH CONFIDENCE! When Janet is at her best, she is the best female performer ever. She out here performing like she is 20 something!

She wasn't happy in her relationship with Wissam and it's evident she was trying to be something that she wasn't in order to please him. She never looked happy when she was with him IMO and I honestly don't think she has been happy for a long time and suffered from depression. You could just tell she wasn't the same Janet after the Super Bowl but baby Eissa seems to have awaken that old school Janet again mannnn she is FIERCE this go round and bringing her A game! When Janet is at her best and confident, she is unstoppable. I think she is very happy to be a mother and that is what is giving her this confidence. You should def get tickets! I can't wait for her to come to my city in November! I am SO READY Bish didn't come to play!!!

Janet den snatched EVERY WIG, WEAVE, HAIR PIECE, EGES fuq everybody else! BEST CONCERT EVER! I can't wait to see this live!!! Way better than Unbreakable. We NEED this now. A POP STAR discusing social issues, racism, hate, love, empowerment, overcoming, healing, and freedom in performances and MUSIC. SO proud of J, can't wait to see this live!!!!

I went to the show last night. Her ponytail was so huge, it kinda did look like enough hair for 4 or 5 heads. She looks great her last wardrobe outfit she looked stunning jeans, white turtle neck, heels boots, her body was amazing. It was a beautiful performance.
