Kinda different for Lalah. Not used to hearing her do a song without real instruments. Anxious to hear the rest of the album. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Check out the opening track on her album Where It All Begins. It sounds like Aaliyah's More Than AWoman. Everyone loves the Jazzy ballad side of Lalah and understandably so but she has done radio friendly songs before like Let Me Love You from 1994 and Let It Go a decade ago. Look at Ledisi's last album where she has shun her smooth soulful sound for a hip hop infused sound and the new single from her upcoming album where she is doing her Letoya Luckett impersonation singing over a trap beat. Her "A Moment" album was brilliant from beginning to end. Not a clunker on it. Not sure why it or the singles didn't so as well as her debut. I think she simply wasn't a priority at Virgin Records. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I think she simply wasn't a priority at Virgin Records. I'm with you on that. I wonder if she felt the same way because she went on a nearly 10 year hiatus besides the Joe Sample project.
