What? Pfff Miss Labelle with my eyes closed!

Miss Austin is my girl but her shows aren't that WILD like Miss Labelle,,,its all about the stage presence 2 me I guess. If you could hang it up on stage then you're cool wit me!

I like PA's voice better. "In the Heat of Heat" is one of Jam/Lewis' all time classics. I give PL props for stage prescence.

Hmm.

I believe Labelle has the better voice, better "range" & over the course of her career, has simply done more songs of a higher quality..

As I remarked on the recent "razzmatazz" thread.. I dig P. Austin, I've always liked her singing, I've liked the songs of her (that I've heard)..

as a matter of (more or less) personal taste..
it's Patti Labelle for me!

Has anyone even heard of P. Austin rolling around on the floor while knocking out a song?

Does anyone know if P. Austin's a good cook???
smile

Clearly, if these 2 very good singers ever did a
"Patti & Patti" tour..

Austin would have to open for Labelle..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

I love Patti LaBelle, but I buy Patti Austin's music. Miss LaBelle is a great performer, has great stage presence and seems to be a genuine good soul, but Miss Austin has a beautiful voice and has NEVER gotten her props. The one thing I don't like about Miss Patti is how she likes to over-sing people she performs with.
