Tevin tells "sister2sister Im not gay" Tevin in Sister2sister DMX and Mike Tyson have done sister2sister interviews also. Yeah but DMX is so obviously gay! OMG, DMX, don't kick my ass. Shit, he is stomping on my head right now. Holy crap! I'm sorry! Stuff like this (being gay or straight) really shouldn't matter but it still makes a difference in record sales, black or white. The only problem for someone like a Luther (btw, I never heard these rumors) or Tevin is that they are speaking to ladies in a lot of their jams (IMHO) so it wouldn't be that surprising if their coming out would stall their sales. I'd be pretty pissed if I found out Janet or Madonna wasn't into guys at all (I know they might be "try-sexual" but they are still into guys at least a little). It is a stupid illusion to think these singers are into you personally and while I don't think record buyers are obsessed on that level, they still enjoy the fact that a Janet or Justin isn't unattainable to them. I think the only gay artist that really has good sales that doesn't just reach a just-gay audience is Elton John but I wouldn't be surprised if a black (or latino or another minority) were to achieve that kind of success. Sylvester didn't do that badly and had a few good hits. I like stuff I've heard of his and I'm not gay. One day people will see beyond all this crap if the music is good. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the hospital becuase my eyes are bleeding after DMX punched them in!

I remember reading an issue of Sister2Sister a few years ago,and they were interviewing the guys from Next. They're the male R&B group that sings "Too Close".One of the guys in the group said that he is "secure" with his sexuality, but that, like Dennis Rodman,he likes to try new things.
But,for the most part,it can be hard for an R&B artist to come out of the closet. How many openly gay R&B artists can you name? In the pop/rock world,it's much different,it's more accepted (Elton John,George Michael,Melissa Etheridge,Michael Stipe of REM,K.D. Lang and many others are all openly gay or bisexual). It'll be interesting to see what happens with Tevin's career after all this.

Tevin was Done before this&still gonna be done sad to say."Back to the World" Album was the Start of the slide&Musically while He still had some Hits nothing could stop the free fall because His Albums are too Hit&Miss&His Image took a Major beat down a Decade back right after the "Can We Talk" Album.the Guy is One of the Baddest Vocalist over the Past 12-15 Years IMHO but nobody is gonna support Him again&Lets face it alot of It is Hate.the Guy can flat out Sing almost anybody in Pop&Rb today IMHO&also He came into the Business working with Quincy Jones,Prince,Babyface,Narada Michael Walden,Michael Jackson,Paul Anka,Aretha Franklin(had Him at One of Her Birthday Celebrations because She thought the world of His VOice) among others have given it up to His Talent.but his Track Record was more for His Kiddy Years than Him as a Adult&it's gonna be a rought road for the Cat.But,for the most part,it can be hard for an R&B artist to come out of the closet. How many openly gay R&B artists can you name? Now that he's trying to stage a comeback, I think Tevin is going to stay in the closet forever! too bad cuz the brutha needs 2 be heard. However, I don't understand why he's denying this? I knew dude was soft from the get-go, but I can understand why he probably don't want to put his shit in the streets like that. Good for him I guess yep all he is doing is "Try-to have a career again" Getting Oral in a car or something from a dude.. sounds Gay to me?? Be who you Be .. dude.

Freddie Mercury even on his death bed was denying that he was with men. Hell, even damn Liberace tried to front! remember when you start selling millions of records, to the company you're a product. like shoes or soda. they need to capitalize on their investment. it's always been in there better interest to keep you hushed up about it. it's only recently that artists can come out of the closet and be marketed at least to that crowd. back in the day disco was kind of the exception to that. but even artists like Sylvester were singing about girls... look at an artist like Me'shell. I went to a concert of hers in NYC for the Plantation Lullabies record. She was talkin about how she got alot of shit from the gay community because she "wasn't gay enough" and got shit from the straight crowd for being "too out". (those were her words) what do you do in that situation? but come on with all that "my private life is my own bullshit" I never heard of any "straight guy" (P being the sole exception) that has ever not answered no, i am straight. then again, there are those that you can still swear bat for the other team. like... craig david...
