What is it with you and LaToya? I think you might be a LaToya wanna be... [Edited 6/30/17 11:32am] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

LaToya Luckett? LaToya Jackson? LaToya Williams (from Sharkando)? Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Her name is spelled "LeToya". Anyway he/she is always comparing people to LaToya Jackson, so it's pretty obvious who they're talking about. You must be new here. I'm not talking about LaToya Jackson, who I did mention, but LeToya Luckett, who was an original member of Destiny's Child that the other poster listed. Dionne Warwick doesn't seem to think so since she chose LeToya to play her in her biopic being filmed. LeToya had a few R&B hits and was also an actress on a TV show. latoya dont even wanna be laytoya. Madonna did want to emulate mj in the early 80s which is not surprising considering how big he was

Nope you can trace Madonna's influences back to the 1930's with Jean Harlow. I dobut that Latoya had impact on Madonna's career at all, because she hasn't done anything that is influential like MJ (who Madonna still stans for judging by her interviews, instagram she as given etc) other than be famous for being a Jackson. LeToya Luckett has a new cd out now as we speak. Ironically she has had more success musically than Letoya Jackson and Luckett's success has been very limited at best. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

TrivialPursuit said: LaToya Luckett? LaToya Jackson? LaToya Williams (from Sharkando)? Shhhh. Be careful. The CIA is watching. We have to come up with a code-name for Latoya. I'm PMing you the code-name. It's LJ BTW. It's pretty obvious who I'm talking about. I'm talking about the Pope of Pop, miss Lat...LJ. She has sold more records than Madonnna, sold out more concerts than her...all under the stage name "Michael Jackson.

U know, when u put it like that I think u really may be on to something. Please research and provide meticulous sales figures and weekly chartings for each of Lotoya's career defining hits, then do the same for Modonna so we can file this under Truth. We believe in u, we always have. I know it may take some time but we will be here waiting to examine your findings. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

It is my theory the swap happened in the early 90s and Michael/Latoya went on to moderate success on reality tv while Latoya/Michael sabotaged his own megacareer by succumbing to taboo sexual fantasies and drug addiction. Some time around the Black &White video because Latoya/Michael could control herself from the crotch grabbing and Michael/Latoya... Well he could do what he wanted in private joy. The public just didn't wanna see a black man grabbing himself like that so the switch happened. The rest was autotune and prosthetics. They made her the white version of him but she couldn't help that as a women she liked young men and that made the public confused about the new Latoya/Michaels personality it was always about th music and obviously Latoya/Michael made superior music as a genius.
