Funkadelic. I think they were more consistent with their outputs and I also prefer their sound.

P-Funk for me in October. Saw them in 2015 with my son--had a great time. I wanted to stay for the whole after party but he had to go to work the next morning...

I barely know the difference lol but I own 2 Parliament albums (Mothership Connection/Funkentelechy) and 2 Funkadelic albums (Maggot Brain and Uncle Jam Wants You), all of them are wonderful journeys, but Mothership Connection just feels wayyy ahead of its time, production-wise, lyrically, the breakdowns, the choice of instrumentation... A timeless piece of music.

Extremely difficult choice, but I think I prefer Parliament because it has a bit more of a party vibe overall. Although Funkadelic had some delicious party songs as well. Plus they had that psychedelic funkrock kinda thing going on. So maybe Funkadelic has the edge? Pfff, I give up...

Well, I do. Even though I'm a Bernie newbie... I grew up with Parliament and Funkadelic hits--just now digging deeper... What a joy it is! I want to comment on the Bernie songs when I have a chance to listen to them alone...

Straight funk on a slow beat. Fuzzy got a version of it and Prince gets into it over a good groove as well. I dig all the Parlet stuff but this album comes in 3rd for me behind Booty Snatchers and Play Me or Trade Me.
