i first heard of the go-go scene through reading the novels of george pelecanos, all of which are set in DC and the surrounding area; but that article opens up a whole 'nother rabbit hole! there's weeks of music to explore within!

Oh lord I am from the D.C area and I cannot imagine MTV discussing Go-Go.
