Metallica had more changes: Ron McGovney (their first bass player) left then came the almighty Cliff Burton who sadly died and Jason Newsted took over and then later on Robert Trujillo took over. And of course Dave Mustaine.
You forgot to mention when James's wife took over his brain and the band went into the toilet. Also Kirk's life partners tacit influence.
yeah, haven't been a fan of Metallica since Load and honestly I think Robert Trujillo is too good to be in Metallica. |

Daryl Hall & John Oates (They rarely released new records after the 1980s, group or solo, but they've been doing concerts all this time)
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton |

They have stayed strong through it all. They both have a handful of solo records (Daryl's dating back to 1980), a lot of live records & DVDs in the 90s and into the aughts, with just a few studio albums (the two most recent being a cover album and a Christmas record). It's nice that they've stayed together, yet stayed busy in their own lives. Live from Daryl's House was/is a cool ass show.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |
