SOUL RECOLLECTION 🎤 🎤 Dynasty🎤🎤 DYNASTY was an American band, based in Los Angeles, California, created by producer and SOLAR Records label head Dick Griffey, and record producer Leon Sylvers III. The band was known for their saucy R&B/dance driven numbers during the late 1970s and the 1980s. Some of the group's notable hits included the bold and infectious "I Don't Want To Be A Freak (But I Can't Help Myself)" and the hypnotic galactic but funky "I've Just Begun To Love You." Other memorable standouts are "Do Me Right," "Love in the Fast Lane" and "Here I Am.". The often sampled "Adventures in the Land of Music" would reintroduce music lovers to the band over the years as it would first become a mega-hit for rap group Camp Lo's "Luchini AKA This Is It." DYNASTY did not achieve as much notoriety as their labelmates The Whispers, Shalamar and Midnight Star, but arguably, the band was one of the backbones in helping to orchestrate and define as to what would become of the SOLAR sound. Album cover wise, for me, it's Adventures..lol But I agree with you 1000%, definitely Nidra and Linda had more prominent roles on Right Back at 'Cha . Too bad this entire album got overlooked though. By that time, Shalamar was more of the attention grabbers at SOLAR.

YES!!! They were unstoppable with that classic banger. SOLAR has such a great roster in its day. [Edited 5/29/17 12:00pm] [Edited 5/30/17 23:18pm]

I liked Dynasty but never heard a whole album back in the day but loved their singles especially Do Me Right. Listening to some of the albums later these guys were pretty damn good. Unfortunately like the original bio states these guys had to live in the shadows of the other artists on the SOLAR roster particularly Shalamar. Even Leon joining the group couldn't raise the band's profile. Leon was a beast on bass and as a producer. Fine ladies in the group too. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
