Dj Quick feat James Debarge "The Divorce Song" Who else dug this cut from Balance and Options? This song is so damn tight to me. The fact a song like this got no play, shows these fools today don't know shit! What other rapper could create something like this? Would love to see Quick do a Quicy Jones type album where he just shows off his production skilz with other folks doing the performing. I know this is just another DJ Quick props post but this brotha deserves it! [This message was edited Thu Apr 10 14:23:03 PDT 2003 by intha916] Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance

you got the Wrong Brother.it was James Debarge.El is on "Do What you Want" with Shock G on that Cut.I was Blasting this Song two Days ago.but "Well" with Raphael Saadiq&Mausenburg is the Cut on that Album IMHO with the Strign Section.I think the World of Quik.the Baddest Producer in Rap/Hip-HOP IMHO.Him&Dr.Dre are like the Shaq&Kobe of Rap Producers IMHO. mistermaxxx

Sorry about that. I do know it's James but typed El. I always get my "debarges" mixed up. Hell at least I didn't type Bobby. Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance

His problem is being tagged as a dude who sings for the "Bitches" I used to hear this a lot when I would bump Debarge or El's solo stuff. Funny cause I have heard "I Like It" sampled more than once by so-call street hip hip acts. And talking about underrated, Switch is too. I also agree, Bobby had the best pipes in the family. Too bad what happened to him. I would like to see the remaining family members to an album together and do it either under the name Switch or Debarge. This is an excellent idea for a project. I get the feeling that producing will be his main focus now. With the best of album called "Da Finale" and a few things he said in that DVD is he done making DJ Quik albums? I for one hope not.
