Well, MJ was certainly checking Prince after he did the 21 nights at the O2. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

i pray a video or videos of michael and prince hanging out and having fun as friends drop out the heavens so I can see and read how crazy people that really believe these two hated each other for no damn reason react. Every time the question is asked "Why do both artist hate each other personally" NOBODY can EVER give a solid real reason besides opinions and little shade shots from interviews that's about music and nothing personal. The media man............. I don't blame the fans for this, I blame POOR JOURNALISM for this. It's so sad to see fans getting mad and in their feelings over foolishness from TV/Newspapers/Social Media and attack artists personally. The stuff said by fans sometimes is worse than the media because some fans don't care about attacking artists family and babies/children are not of the radar neither. Then everyone wonder one the good fans suffer for the toxic few fans. If some fans tried attacking you because they really believe you hate their favorite artist along with the media TMZ especially almost running you over because they want to sell pics and stories how would you feel? I don't blame Prince for keeping his distance while he was alive and taking slander from people about how he treat fans. I give up, maybe hurt people like hurting innocent people. Real fans understand at the end of the day their favorite artists are human also and deserve privacy and don't feed into media put together beef. [Edited 5/7/17 12:39pm]

At the In The Studio with MJ seminar in LA, the host had Michael's personal chefs, The Slam Dunk Sisters, as guests and they talked about an occasion Prince showed up to visit Michael. Michael went to get ready and Prince in and waited for MJ. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Nope. Recall the original quote claimed that Prince claimed he never checked for Michael. He did, for a while. Prince's checking for MJ had nothing to do with MJ not being a musician. Rather it had to do with MJ's status. See --

The relevant quote from the author, of the second piece, a direct witness during the relevant time period: In the 1980s, he and Michael Jackson were in a silent (but to those of us who knew both of them, obvious) competition. One or the other was always asking me about one or the other, and it wasn’t a secret that they always knew what the other one was doing and counting how many Madison Square Garden shows each of them could do. Prince clearly didn't consider MJ to be a peer in terms of musicianship or artistry. But he was definitely a competitor, if not a superior, for the ears, hearts and dollars of popular music audiences in the 1980's anbd beyond. ...which should lay to rest the whole "mutual respect" fantasy that MJ fans nurture...but it won't...I know.
