It was a latter 90s interview where Prince said he never check for Michael, that he was only checking for other guitarists/shredders

and yet Prince had no problem supporting and raving over talentless female artists who couldn't sing lol

Well, MJ was certainly checking Prince after he did the 21 nights at the O2.

liljojo

i pray a video or videos of michael and prince hanging out and having fun as friends drop out the heavens so I can see and read how crazy people that really believe these two hated each other for no damn reason react. Every time the question is asked "Why do both artist hate each other personally" NOBODY can EVER give a solid real reason besides opinions and little shade shots from interviews that's about music and nothing personal. The media man............. I don't blame the fans for this, I blame POOR JOURNALISM for this. It's so sad to see fans getting mad and in their feelings over foolishness from TV/Newspapers/Social Media and attack artists personally. The stuff said by fans sometimes is worse than the media because some fans don't care about attacking artists family and babies/children are not of the radar neither. Then everyone wonder one the good fans suffer for the toxic few fans. If some fans tried attacking you because they really believe you hate their favorite artist along with the media TMZ especially almost running you over because they want to sell pics and stories how would you feel? I don't blame Prince for keeping his distance while he was alive and taking slander from people about how he treat fans. I give up, maybe hurt people like hurting innocent people. Real fans understand at the end of the day their favorite artists are human also and deserve privacy and don't feed into media put together beef.

And just for you all that believe this foolishness about Prince and MJ beefing and hating each other, go back and do some REAL research, and you will see the media tried to use Prince (another black man) to tear down MJ. All because they was mad about thriller selling the way it did. No pop star with Prince or MJ complexion was supposed to ever sell like the beatles, the eagles, the beach boys, AC/DC, David Bowie, Elvis and etc. So when Prince figured out that they tried to use him to bring MJ down, he basically told the dumb lazy journalist people to kiss his ass. By 1986, both artists understood how PR works and basically flipped the media false news into their favor and made money off it. Why do you think both artists by the beginning of 90's was being called weird, exotic, dumb, homosexuals, hell they even had Trent D'arby talking crazy about both artists looking feminine to sell albums. And you know where the fans play a part in this? When they turn from fans and into abusive fanatics. I have seen fans kill people over other artists or because they can't have cosmetic surgery to look like a artist. It's really sad and celebs got to sit back and be asked "did you hear about a fan that murdered someone over you, or took their own life because you didn't reply to their letters." Man I'm done, I just can't with this MJ and Prince hated each other thing, and then fans from both sides saying disgusting unnecessary things about both artists. I don't care what nobody say, I'm a fan of both, and love & miss both. But for real, as people we have to learn how to love and understand each other before being so verbally abusive and do research outside of GOOGLE, BING, Firefox, Wiki, and other online sites that's third-party information fed. Or just live your life and enjoy the music left behind instead of attacking each other over media mess. Much Love

At the In The Studio with MJ seminar in LA, the host had Michael's personal chefs, The Slam Dunk Sisters, as guests and they talked about an occasion Prince showed up to visit Michael. Michael went to get ready and Prince in and waited for MJ.

MJ later came back in in his Michael Jackson clothes lol and and he and P went back and forth complimenting each other's clothes until they both laughed about it, hugged and went to talk. This was probably around 87-90.

Bobby Z and Michael Bland have both talked about Prince getting tapes of Sly and James Brown as well as the Jackson 5 Goin' Back to Indiana TV special from Michael over the years.

I'd believe that as soon as I'd believe Magic saying he never checked for Bird, only other point guards.

(never)

--Mike was not a musician do you can believe what Prince said he was not quacking in his boots about Mike although the I believe he respected him. It was Mike that was trying to beast Prince's record at O2 despite the fact nobody cared about be sating a record but Mike.

Nope. Recall the original quote claimed that Prince claimed he never checked for Michael. He did, for a while. Prince's checking for MJ had nothing to do with MJ not being a musician. Rather it had to do with MJ's status. See --

The relevant quote from the author, of the second piece, a direct witness during the relevant time period:

In the 1980s, he and Michael Jackson were in a silent (but to those of us who knew both of them, obvious) competition. One or the other was always asking me about one or the other, and it wasn’t a secret that they always knew what the other one was doing and counting how many Madison Square Garden shows each of them could do.

Prince clearly didn't consider MJ to be a peer in terms of musicianship or artistry. But he was definitely a competitor, if not a superior, for the ears, hearts and dollars of popular music audiences in the 1980's anbd beyond.

...which should lay to rest the whole "mutual respect" fantasy that MJ fans nurture...but it won't...I know.
