Rae Srmmeruderderd on VICE NEWS Music Corner Hey folks - if you want to stay hip to the kids and how they are interpreting modern music, take a look at the April 11th episode of VICE News featuring part 2 of innovative musical geniuses/easily pronounced Rae Smmmuererederad reviewing their contemporaries. Unfortunately part 2 has not made it to YouTube yet however the full episode is available on HBO Go where I had the privilege of witnessing their brilliance. I'll post a clip once I find it as it is so insightful and brilliant. . Highlights include their description of a track by Animal Collective as "like 7 dudes in a room all making noises" and dismissing another rapper track in two seconds as something they maybe would breakdance to. They describe a track by Warner Brother's token modern rock act Mastodon by asking inquisitively "is this soft rock?" . These brilliant visionaries brought the popular track "Black Beatles" to the mainstream even garnering media attention from even Sir Paul McCartney. They are the future of popular music, correct? . If you put these dudes in a room with a piano I bet the most artistic thing they could do with it would be to set it on fire.
