Hoe, Jay Z Hall of Fame, ... ass down)
There was beef that was defused before it got big. Basically drake was talking shit about kendrick off the record in a interview. Drake had his people destroy all footage of that event but the interviewer alluded to what happened.
In the line I posted drake has been beefing a lil with jay saing hes as big as jay. Heres a shot drake sent at jay. (I used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella, then I turned into Jay)
Also with the control verse drake got really in his feelings. And also sent shot toward kendrick saying (I don't know why they been lyin'
Refering to all the critical acclaim kendrick gets and the uproar of the control verse.
Also some shots at big sean.
Big sean No interviews And I'm just not impressed by you niggas rapping fast
The heart part 4 30 millions later, my future favors
Tiptoein' around my name, nigga, ya lame
A difference between acco...onishments

I'm not feeling this track, but, Butterfly was so good I'm still excited for the new album. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

I liked Butterfly a lot too, but I still like Good Kid, MAAD City just a bit more It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Section 80 is really good too. Overly dedicated is probably my least favorite of his discography, tho its still not bad by any means. I just think GKMC is brilliant, and TPAB is very close. Personally I would love to see GKMC made into a motion picture ala Purpe Rain. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Personally I would love to see GKMC made into a motion picture ala Purpe Rain. There all great but I believe his artistry grows in complexity as he goes on. Section 80 he has a lot to say talking about his generation. Early Kendrick story songs. Overly Dedicated the only non concept project besides untitled just a bunch of good songs. Good Kidd madd city the story of his life growing up in Compton. The most commercial pop structured songs. Album tells a linear story. Tpab Story of where he is after the success his trials and tribulations and his view on the world.Extremely dense musically and lyrically. Less linear more of an overall look at life in general. Can't wait till April 7th. All I know is it's supposed to be a little more commercial than tpab and it's about god.

Rumors are swirling there's a possible second album dropping Sunday. This is possibly a double album project.

Dropping Easter Kendrick Lamar is ressurected Damn\Nation

Just gave DAMN first spin. It seems more uneven and not as focused as Butterfly. But heavy bass and a dark production makes up for the lack of strong SONGS. Oh well, Kendrick is still the best rapper alive.

I think this is going to be a double album though so I cant judge it as a whole yet. Love xxx, pride and god.

Dna (first song) is dope For all time I am with you, you are with me.

On third spin, I love the album now!! Is it a classic? Not sure yet, but it's HELLA good.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
This is good but I wouldnt rate this higher than good kidd madd city or tpab. It feels like its missing something. Come sunday Nation might be that thing. Its hard to tell what hes going for right now.

Maybe people should stop hailing him as the next messiah of music and let him be. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
