Y'all already know what it is . . .

She's gonna mount the tour and do about ten to twenty shows before cancelling the remainer because
of either lack of fan interest or old age/injury/illness. She should go grab a residency somewhere like
Britney Spears or Mariah Carey or Celine Dion and call it a day.

Otherwise, JJ's playing with y'all emotions.

Just to be on the safe side, fans who really wanna go should get tickets to the first 10 shows smile before there are any delays or cancellations

Ah, shut up. She's only really ended one tour because of lack of fan interest.

Read.

Read yourself. Rock witchu is the only tour she ever stopped. She had a legitimate reason to postpone the Unbreakable tour. She's not gonna get pregnant again. So, shut up.

This is super interesting - has an act ever done a make-up tour? With a completely different agenda than the cancelled show? Titled after an album cut from over 20 years ago? Will this be a political statement of some sort - the title she has chosen is so intriguing considering the literal state of the world.

It would be so dope if she got rid of the theatrics and did a tour with a tight band of her more serious tracks but I doubt there is interest in such a show. If she comes out tits blazing with a gender bending troupe of dancers this could get real messy real quick.

She's canceled shows because of old age, injury/medical issues, and she's canceled shows due to
lack of fan interest - all RECENTLY.

If you wanna see her live, I'd suggest to follow the advice given in this thread and see her sooner
than later. If she actually plays every single show on this tour, I'll buy you dinner!

Geez. Stupid people are so annoying. She stopped one tour because of low attendance (Rock witchu) and postponed another (Unbreakable) because she wanted to get pregnant. She did the Rhythm Nation, Janet, Velvet Rope, All for you and Number Ones tours. And before you get on my ass regarding the AFY tour, she didn’t exactly stop it, she scrapped Europe, officially for security reasons, but did extra dates in the US and Japan instead. And she never cancelled anything because of "old age".

What's stupid of making a relationship between JJ's youth and popularity during said youth and her
ability to physically pull off worldwide tours during said youth with her older years, waning popularity,
and recent inability to physically pull of worldwide tours? There may not be a causal relationship be-
tween her age and her recent tour struggles, but there is justifiable room for there being a correlation-
ship.

Check out some of my posts, Patrick; I'm hardly stupid, so let's keep it sunny between us, okay?

Thanks!

Detroit has Joe Louis Arena in the middle of downtown (its being torn down in a few months) and The Palace of Auburn Hills (40 mins away) and very FEW artists has played them both, let alone sold them both out on the same tour. Janet is one of those artists. A VERY different aesthetic to the venues and the crowds they draw (I remember when BBD first played The Palace, they were like, "where in the hell is this place? I thought we were playing Detroit...") So with the Joe about to be gone, they are booking new acts to help "break-in" its replacement The Little Caesar's Arena (worst name ever i know), so I think for that reason, I'll catch the show. I will try not to compare it to the legendary RN, Janet, and VR shows I saw at the Joe.

On another note. She needs to send Night to radio post haste and release some remixes or something. There was life left in that album. Don't get me started on Love U 4Life! That needed a 3rd verse and a release as a single!

It's interesting because she did address politics and poverty in "Should Have Known Better" during the tour, it was very moving and emotional from all the theateratrics and rushed hit after hit back to back punches.

I wonder if the tour will preclude the content of the new album... "Shoulda Known Better" was such a great somber, protest, defiant song. Maybe she'll pick up where she left off that one. Politics are so divisive, (especially these days) she may be trying to avoid division and focus more on the power in unity.

-

Knowing her, she'll get her digs in.

And Ima here to tell ya... You're right. TM doesn't release all the tickets at once and better seats will turn up eventually. The trick is to keep checking. Pre-sales are the worst unless it's a guaranteed event to sell out, which is rare these days.... I learned this through trial and error. razz lol I have found that even events listed as sold out will turn up tickets to those on an e-mail list even days efore the event...and not re-sale tickets.

I'm choosing to believe there's no Europe included in these make up dates becuase of difficulty booking at short notice as venues are usually booked up i those months by now for other events.

Will she EVER make it over here? Seriously I've never seen her. She's cancelled every time I've bought a ticket.

Yes. That statement on her website makes it pretty clear, that it is a 4 month US tour and that's it. If international dates were in the works, you'd think they would mention that. You should have bought tix in 2011.

I have definitely been going back to check. I'm thinking it may happen like when I saw Beyonce last year and scored a seat in front of the stage three weeks before the show. Anything is possible these days lol

Basically lmao I do notice there's like seats within the stage on many of the show's maps. I'm thinking maybe Janet and her team will be surprising a few fans tickets with upgrades for each show sorta like how they gave free tix on the Unbreakable run.

True, but I just wasn't into it then. That tour looked like mimed medleys and in my city she played the most awful venue (Royal Albert Hall) where the acoustics are so bad for any type of electronic/pop music, you can barely anything at all.

Besides, I genuinely thought since she had already played the US before the pregnancy and Europe was next on the bill before the postponement, we'd be a priority now at least. Hell, hasn't she even been living in London for the past 6 months?

Actually the Royal Albert Hall show was good... including the acoustics. I enjoyed both shows I went to. But yeah, it's a while ago.

Yeah, I would have thought so too, that making up, especially Europe, since she already toured the US, would be a priority. But not so. The pregnancy doesn't change the fact that some of the european dates were selling quite poorly. But she still could have done a short tour of Europe like in '11 in the better selling cities. Well, maybe she still does. But judging by that press release I don't think she will. If she does though, that idiot, who wrote up that press release, should get fired. Why not give all the information available when issuing a press release, instead of letting people, who have waited for years to see her, hanging?

well the european leg was actually cancelled while the us leg was postponed and people held on to tickets, so she had to fullfill those dates first. she will probably do dates overseas in 2018.
