Radiohead played Creep at Coachella tonight Although they've been playing it again semi-regularly since last year, and I don't think they're generally the most sentimental people on Earth, I can't help but think that the choice to play it tonight wasn't completely random. |

As I recall, Radiohead rebuked Prince for insisting that YouTube take down the clip of his performance of "Creep" at Coachella. |

Not so much rebuked, but they did comment that it made no sense since it was actually their song.

I'm not sure Radiohead has ever done a cover song, like, in the entirety of their existence. Certainly not anytime in the last couple decades. Regardless, them doing a Prince song doesn't actually make any sense (to me) at all. Prince could cover anything and make it his own, Radiohead not so much. That's why I think this is about as far as they would go with it. And I'm probably wrong anyway.

They have a live cover out there of Carly Simons Nobody Does It Better but yeah that was ages ago.
Thom called it "The most sexiest song ever." "Climb in my fur." |
