In N-J-S' heyday, I mostly looked down on it, because I was deep into "real" hip-hop at that point (when my Inner Purist was at his worst). Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

You guys may not feel this fits in NJS, but I know it does

I am not familar with them.....but looking at their bio, that was the NJS sound that was its similar to Glenn Medeiros's She Ain't Worth It (1990) which featured Bobby Brown. In my opinion it would have been better if it was just a Bobby's song....Glenn tried, but he ain't funky.

If we just use Teddy Riley's songs only, some of my favorites from him are,
Today - Him or Me
Guy - Groove Me, and It's Just a Fantasy
Heavy D and The Boyz - We Got our Own Thang
Big Daddy Kane - I Get The Job Done
and Teddy didn't work on this song, but an underrated jam is Pause by RUN-DMC

also, all the joints teddy riley produced for Michael Jackson's amazing Dangerous LP... Cant Let Her Get Away (favorite MJ song ever) Remember The Time In The Closet Jam Drive Me Wild Dangerous Why You Wanna Trip On Me teddy and MJ had incredible rhythmic chemistry...

- "Can't Let Her Get Away" was one of my favorites on that album. Even though I had to read the lyric sheet to know what the hell Mike was saying in parts , I still loved the energy in his vocal, and that groove was ever funky. With that being said, I think NJS reached its pinnacle with "Remember The Time". That rhythmic swing was undeniable. It was late in the NJS era but what a way to close it out with Mike. Sure, there were other hits to come after but IMHO, nothing surpassed, "RTT". I won't even go into the world premiere televised special event for the debut of the video. [Edited 3/2/17 6:13am]

Kane and Hev were the best at making N-J-S and hip-hop work together. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
