RIP J Geils Centerfold is one of those classics from the 80's that just sticks in your head. I like Love Stinks and Freeze Frame too. I also remember Darcel Wynne twerking to Freeze Frame on Solid Gold. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

J Geils Band put on one of the best concerts I ever witnessed... up there with James Brown, the Stones, Springsteen, and Prince #SOCIETYDEFINESU

Remember Prince's controversial performance as the opener for the Rolling Stones on October 9th, 1981? "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself."

Oh wow! I hadn't even heard. Detroit's ONE and ONLY Electrifying MOJO used to play the hell out of the J. Geils Band. Flamethrower, Freeze Frame, Centerfold...yes...sounds of my youth. Rest well, Mr. Geils. Thank you for the music. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
