Sam Smith been out of the spotlight for quite some time, but now there's proof that new music's coming.

Superproducer Timbaland posted a photo of himself posing with Sam, along with the caption, "It was a pleasure working [with] this man @samsmithworld #puretalent #goodvibes #makingmemories and #timeless #music."

Just some of the artists Tim has worked with over the years include Justin Timberlake and Missy Elliott -- of course -- but also OneRepublic, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Usher, Destiny's Child, No Doubt, TLC, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and dozens more.

There's no word on when we can expect new music from Smith.
