ELO is one of the inductees, along with Yes, Joan Baez, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, & Journey. Nile Rodgers was given the Award For Musical Excellence. All of the inductees performed, except for Tupac of course. Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, YG, Treach, & T.I. did his part, and Steve Perry didn't sing during Journey's performance. I've heard Steve hasn't sung much in years, so I guess he figured his chops wasn't up. Journey's current singer Arnel Pineda sang with the band. Arnel wasn't inducted though. ELO also released Roll Over Beethoven themselves in the 1970s, so it made sense to me for them to do it. I don't really picture Joan Baez or Yes doing Roll Over Beethoven, nor the 2 members of Rush who inducted Yes. Nile Rodgers wasn't exactly an inductee, so doesn't get a performance part, and he's not really a singer anyway. So who's left? You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
