XL Bubba Says: Instant Vintage Is Banging

Who cares about the early tracks, but the last suite of tracks make this album good and cool. It is sad to see that people spend their money on shit like R kelly albums.

The last three songs make up for anything else wrong with the album.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the rest of the album. My favs are "Body Parts" "Faithful" "Doin The Best I Can" "Still Ray" and "Be Here"

Yeah, I liked this album a lot too. 2 or 3 fillers, but a lot of good stuff, and a little experimentation here and there made it real nice.

He can't touch R.Kelly Period. He is a Very Talented Cat but from stuff He has done Solo the last thing He did that knocked me out was His Collab on DJ Quik's "Balance&Options" the Cool Jam Called "Well".Saddaq is Very talented but He needs a Producer to Balance Him out because truth is as Essence once said about Toni,Tony,Tone is that after a while He starts Sounding like all of His Influences.I would dig it if He allowed "DA KANG OF MODERN R&B" R.Kelly to Lace Him up some tracks.

Maxx you know I got mad respect for your musical opinions but you are Waaay off here. Saadiq can't touch R Kelly as a producer? Are u sick?! R Kelly is about as watered down and R&B producer as you can find out there. He lived off the same slow beat for 8 years for god sake. He's a poor man's Isley Brothers. This is the same cat that released "Feelin on Your Booty" at the same time Raphy had out his Lucy Pearl project. As a producer I don't see many out there who can match Saadiq's warm, soulful sound. There are a few cats on this same tip but it sure as hell ain't R. Kelly.

call me what you want but R.Kelly rips Home Boy Up.if R.kelly is a Poor Man's Isley Brothers than Saadiq is a Poor Man's Lenny Kravitz of Jacking Everybody period.and also Saadiq can't Sing that good either.IMHO His Best stuff was with Tony,Toni,Tone.Call Me Names&I don't need your Props because I know How Badd R.Kelly is.Saadiq needs to go patch things up with Dewaynne His Brother&Do that Band thing again.or stay behind the scenes with D'angelo or try hooking up with DJ Quik again.

Maxx I ain't going personal with u bro so don't take it there. I'm jess sayin most folks would say saadiq is a more soulful cat that R Kelly. That still doesn't make it right but knowing your musical taste it just suprised me you think R Kelly is even on Saadiq's level. I rank Saadiq as one of the best 4 producers out there right now, so questioning his production blows me away. He is so much more creative than R Kelly I don't even know where to begin. Songs like "The Greatest" and "I Believe I Can Fly" as just so vanilla. I could never see Saadiq doing a cut like that. We can jess leave it at I'm not an R Kelly fan and you are.

Saadiq has done alot of Corny Stuff as well&Bit alot of Folks as well.IMHO Current Producers go are R.Kelly,DJ Quik,Dr.Dre&Jam&Lewis Maybe. I ain't like Most folks& nor do I think like most folks even though R.Kelly is doing something Right because 10 Years Later folks have overwhelmingly Bought His Stuf as to Saadiq's stuff.at least with "I believe I Can Fly" R Sounds like Himself Saadiq sounds like Lenny does like 99 other people through His Mix.R.Kelly has Catelog Songs as well.Saadiq has Really Good Jams but not one of His Post TTT Songs can match R's IMHO.Saadiq is alot like Babyface IMHO:Better suited around others&Better in a band than Solo overall.R.Kelly is a Better overall Musical Force than Saadiq will ever dream to Be.Saadiq is more Instrumentally Gifted but lacking that Artistic It overall as a Solo Artist IMHO&Vocally Saadiq just doesn't have it.

I think R.S. first solo go is a solid joint! Wow, was diggin on my Vibe magazine where in the back they had a look back at TTT...didn't know they were between 37 & 40 yrs of age. Makes me feel young...lol, RS has always had a great thing going and 4 him 2 still make the music he does on his terms from the late 80's says alot. If U just think about all who came and went in that time...RS shows real creative talent can out last trends.

His work with other artist says it all 2. Hes got skillz. Good multi-instrumentalist, live performer producer, song writer, singer...etc. Lets just remember many in music don't have it like that.

The brotha got style~

Harlepolis

I think comparing the 2 bruthas is DUMB as hell *period!*

While R.Kelly got the street wise Chi-Town's feel in his music, Mr.Saadiq got the Live thang Okaland's feel in his! they may have similar things(in terms of 70's flava) which is rare but they have NOTHING else in common whats so ever.

Both are different talents and both got my upmost respect!

I Dig them Both.R.Kelly IMHO is easily the better of them Solo IMHO But Saadiq in the Tony,Toni,Tone Days Brought the Pain&also with D'angelo IMHO.followed both career's&glad to see both Brothers thriving.
