I can't belive this, but.... I'm actually getting into Madonna's Like a virgin album. I mean, wow, I haven't listened to this in a good 5 years.

the best thing about the first 2 madonna records is that they sound like they could be prince records...yeah, i know, that is a stupid comment (and i am not suggesting she ripped him off) but it's something i've always thought. Imagine Prince, in his dirty mind/controversy days, singing some of those songs...it fits him. anyway, like a virgin is a great record...are you listening Madonna? | |

"Dres You Up" was alright."Like a Virgin" was a "Billie Jean" Knock-Off.Props though for Nile Rodgers for Producing this Set even though He said the album hasn't aged well.it's ok at best IMHO.I Prefered Her first album to this one 2-1. mistermaxxx | |

It's a decent album, but not as memorable or as consistent as her debut, in my opinion. "Pretender," "Stay" and "Shoo Bee Doo" are all pretty embarassing. | |

"Shoo Bee Doo" is my favorite song from this album.I also like "Angel",the title track and her remake of Rose Royce's "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".But overall,this album isn't nearly as strong and focused as her subsequent albums. | |
