I don't know about best as I haven't heard all of them wink but my favorites are the last couple of albums by Twenty One Pilots.

I'm not old but I dislike almost every album mentioned here. At least, the ones I've heard of anyway.

I'm not sure if it's considered "pop" but Black Messiah gets my vote.

Looking at the albums listed, it seems like the definition of "pop album" could have multiple interpretations, so I'm sure Black Messiah could fit in there
