Musical prodigy Jacob Collier - Hideaway/ Hajanga

....

Jacob is one of those artist prodigies that reminds me that the music and creativity will be OK, despite what current trends come and go...

He seems like a very talented guy, but for some reason i donĀ“t like his voice, and it bores me a little bit.

He is impressive. Do you think is more talented music wise than Prince or Stevie Wonder?

Hard to say...As an all-around instrumental player, I think he's much more well-versed in Jazz, but beyond that, I dunno.....those guys were big influences on him, obviously.....as you noted, his actual singing voice is.... an aquired taste, LOL.....he''s a hell of an arranger though--I've noticed that Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock have been introducing him to folks lately...

It really is an acquired taste.

Speaking of Quincy Jones, he makes an appearance at the 2:11 mark on this unhinged, Avant Garde PYT cover.....
