http://popcrush.com/gramm...is-letter/ I’m concerned that you are not being entirely candid about how the Grammy’s Album of the Year is decided. As you are already aware, the Grammys have a special committee to over-ride the voters. This committee was put in place after Lionel Richie’s album Can’t Slow Down won the 1985 Grammys Album of the Year over Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. Certain people (mostly white) were very upset about this and thought Springsteen should have won. Secret Committee? :hmm2: Also Smooth Crimnal was very "inspired". And who really wrote Stranger in Moscow and Don't Stop Till You Get Enough? Hint not MJ.

I coulda swore MJ wrote Don't Stop Till You Get Enough. As for the committee, my understanding is that its a relatively new comittee that is there to "save" the catagory from going south by reserving a spot for a critically acclaimned album, which is most likely the reason for the country guy getting nominated this year, and acts like Radiohead in the past.

Michael Jackson is the sole writer of Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, Stranger in Moscow and Smooth Criminal. He wrote all those songs himself. That font hates Michael Jackson and Prince and is a Beyonce stan, nothing to see here.

https://youtu.be/u2OCduKNdSQ 47:00- 58:00 Greg will tell the whole story. http://en.michaeljackson....rad-buxer/ Stranger in Moscow I don't have the video but here's the quotes and story from a seminar. Then Buxer goes on to talk about “Stranger in Moscow.” This song contains his biggest contribution of all the material he worked on with Michael, and Brad doesn’t hide that it means a lot to him. He reads the entire piece about the song from Joe Vogel’s book – the story of the song creation is well documented by now. Even though Buxer is not credited in the album liner notes, he actually is a co-author of the song and the one who came up with the chords. Buxer explains that he and Michael could work together in two different ways. Oftentimes, Michael already had the melody in his head, and Buxer’s job was to play that melody on the keyboard as Michael was “hearing” it and find an arrangement that fit the melody. Such was their work on “Heal the World,” “In the Back,” “Childhood,” “Beautiful Girl” and other songs. With “Stranger in Moscow” it was different: Michael asked Brad to play chords until he would hear something he liked, and Buxer came up with the now famous chord progression. Buxer says that the entire song was written in about 1.5-2 hours, and when it was finished, he couldn’t believe what had just happened. “I wanted to say something, like, ‘Wow, did we just write a song together?’” recalls Buxer. “But I didn’t.” He doesn’t hold a grudge about not being credited on the album. “Mistakes happen,” he says. “Michael was always very generous to me.”

You will pull things out of air to criticize MJ (even when it is not true or make any logical sense) but when factual and rational criticism are made about Beyonce that are based on real facts you throw tantrums and name call. MJ has given co-write credits throughout his career so why would he have to lie about that? The fact of the matter is Michael Jackson is a songwriter and has written songs by himself and Beyonce is not and in that description nothing he says points to him helping Michael write the actual song lyrics. It sounds like some of his input might have helped inspired some of Michael's creation of the melody which is different. It still doesn't change the fact that MJ wrote the actual song lyrics and it still doesn't change the fact that MJ came up with the melody. [Edited 2/19/17 14:45pm]

Brad Buxer composed (wrote the music) to stranger mj wrote the lyrics but mj took sole credit.

You don't have to be phony because I already know that you don't like nor respect MJ. The one that is deflecting is you because you want to make this about MJ and not Beyonce. Its funny how your trying to criticize Michael but you have not once acknowledge Beyonce's questionable and unethical behavior when it comes to her artistic merit. You did question his songwriting ability because you came in him and insisted he did not write DSTYE as well as SIM (despite him writing it) but this is besides the point, Your only bringing this up and making an issue out of nothing because your mad that people are calling Beyonce out. You can think what ever you want to think about MJ (it doesn't matter to me that you don't like him) but making false claims as facts just because you don't like an artist is immature.Michael was not sued left and right nor did any of his collaborators called him out for stealing credits unlike BEYONCE who has. Multiple songwriters and collaborators have called Beyonce out for stealing ideas, stealing credits and not properly acknowledging her collaborators input. Greg did not write the bridge, there is a home demo on youtube with MJ, Janet, and Randy in their home before the song even got to any of the engineers and Quincy. The home demo of DSTE sounds exactly like the song on OTW and even QUINCY insists that Michael wrote and composed the song before he produced it.
On Brad, Michael is not here to defend himself and Brads input. Brad says himself that he was only there to play the melodies Michael came up with himself in his head and he obviously respects Michael and does not feel slighted. Artists, songwriters, creators that have worked with Beyonce feel slighted because she steals and does properly credit. You Beyonce stans are delusional.Ya'll will go as far as to slight legends all in the name of your Queen and god [Edited 2/19/17 15:31pm]

And as I posted the words from the co collaborators mouths I think it's obvious those two songs were co written. I think mj is a good songwriter especially melody wise. I already said in earlier post Beyoncé is like a director she had talent create for her than she picks and chooses never claimed she was an amazing artist.

There was no reason to criticize MJ or to even bring him up in this discussion but because your childish and irrational, your deflecting the discussion away from Beyonces unethical behavior because you don't like the criticism she is receiving. But it true mj should credited Greg and Brad because he did not (solely) keyword write those songs. Again I only bring up mj and other legends because a lot of the critisms of Beyoncé are so shallow ignorant and superficial and can easily be applied to many of celebrated legends people see as if they did nothing wrong. I love and respect mj but I'm not giving him or anyone else pass to get away with BS simply because who he is. As for Beyoncé you say I don't see anything wrong with her. Well heres my view on her. 1. I think her and her family kelly included were really shady and neglectful of the other destiny child members who got kicked out of the group. 2. Beyoncé is like a robot and has virtually know real soul or emotion when she sings. There are few instances where she makes me feel anything. 3. I don't think she's really amazingly talented or bright. But how she separates herself from her peers is her ridiculous work ethic. 4. She's clearly not a creator as an artist she more like a director. 5. Her choreography for the most part is uninspired. She also has no emotion when she dances its a lot sexual movements. 6. Her music catalog is lackluster. With that said in her latest eras self titled and lemonade I do see growth in all these areas. [Edited 2/19/17 17:12pm]

Its not about me believing anything. You always criticize MJ and you always try to find ways to slight him, case in point right now. You have proved on more than one occasion that you are not a MJ fan and you don't like him which is why you have changed the direction of this thread to questioning MJ's integrity as a songwriter because again your mad about the criticism that Beyonce has received in this thread.
You keep negating the fact that Quincy said that MJ wrote Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, he received the homo demo that MJ presented to him . The demo sounds exactly like the song that was recorded on the album. Quincy was there in the studio with Greg and MJ for the recording of the album, he was the executive producer but for some reason Greg's thoughts is more superior than multiple interviews of Quincy from the 80s and onward in which he states MJ wrote and composed the song himself? Greg made those comments after MJ passed away, prior, he insisted MJ wrote Dont Stop Till You Get Enough.

I really don't understand what it is your not getting 1. mj wrote majority of the song that is a fact. 2. Mj invited Greg to his house at havenhurst at his home studio where he played Greg the demo that is a fact. 3. Mj said the song was lacking something Greg than went and played on the piano and created the bridge that is a fact. 4. Greg asked for 10% of the publishing to be a cowriter mj said yes than later retracted. 5. As I posted you can see the first pressings of the single said Don't stop Written by M Jackson and G Philingaines. It doesn't matter if Greg it's telling this story after mjs dead the proof is in that photo. The photo wouldn't exist if it wasn't true. All of this means don't stop till you get enough was cowritten. Again I brought up mj in terms of stealing credits because of the video cynickill posted so this all ties in with Beyoncé. As I said the criticism y'all have for her is weak shallow ignorant etc. and can easily be appiled to these celebrated untouchable legends. [Edited 2/19/17 17:54pm]

It does matter if he is saying something totally different now that MJ is dead. I don't see how you don't understand that. You are choosing to believe him (that is fine) but I choose to rely on actual evidence like the demo, engineers that worked on OTW, and even Quincy himself. Quincy for a FACT would be the first to say MJ stole a writers credit if it were true because Quincy has been critical of MJ himself since his death. Since his death, Quincy has been consistent that MJ wrote the songs he did on OTW and even descriptively described the process of how he wrote and composed the songs. Now if you choose to believe a someone who neither Quincy or any of the engineers have backed up than that is on you BUT I choose to believe factual evidence not assumptions. You brought MJ up because you got mad that people were bashing Beyonce in this thread, period. How is what we are saying ignorant when its based on facts??? With each post you make you show more and more how much of a Beyonce stan you are. I don't care but its pathetic to say your not a fan but then irrational defend her. I never said she couldn't dance. I said her dancing more so the choreography doesn't move me it's not evocative it usually provocative in a sexual way and basic. Not to compare her to mj because there's no comparison. Mj had such personality in his movements he could just bop around on the stage spin and point. And that would just make me tense up. To be honest no other pop person can do that for me so I shouldn't expect that from everyone. That being said the choreography for sweet dreams single ladies and diva is very creative. I think Beyoncé has surpassed Janet by far by now.
