I know it was great cool Best performance of the night!

It was the best performance, until Bruno performed.

Tribe was still the best for me and Bruno's tribute comes close second. I literally got 90's flash backs when Tribe came out there. I was on my feet hyped! lol I was hyped for the Prince tribute too

Wow shout out to Adele it takes integrity to do that something Macklemore or Taylor swift didn't have when Kendrick Lamar won. Big ups all around.

To macklemore's credit they didn't know there would be fallback.

Adele winning is a surprise. I was thinking Beyonce would win because everyone loves it, even critics, so she deserved it over the other nominees.

But Solange wasn't nominated so I don't care.

solange dropped at the end of cut off period, she won her one grammy for cranes

Anti is a way better project than lemonade

THIS. Anti was way better than Lemonade and Adele's 25 deserved to win over Lemonade. 25 went diamond in 2015 and still became the biggest selling album even last year. Numbers don't lie, the general public obviously liked Adele's 25 album better and although it was not as good as "21" it still was better than Lemonade. I personally think Anti deserved album of the year. I still listen to it till this day. Rihanna and Drake were snubbed... BIG TIME. Rihanna and Drake are always snubbed at these award shows.

Rihanna and/or Drake definitely should have won something.

This actually wasn't a bad Grammys but it was more entertaining for the unexpected things like Adele messing up and her refusing to accept album of the year the performances were aight overall.

Rihanna and/or Drake definitely should have won something.

Tokenism and politics is why there are a lack of Black representation for award wins.

I don't see how you can have smash hits, big selling albums and walk away with nothing. I know sales and charts are not everything but it is an indicator of how the general public feels about a song or album. I know some don't like Drake and Rihanna but they do have the numbers to back up their success and they SHOULD be acknowledged. They should have AT LEAST walked away with 2 or 3 but I know the Grammys are only going to give awards to their favorites and tokens Blacks regardless.

It first saw Gary Clark Jr a few years ago supporting The Rolling Stones and instantly fell in love with his music. Then I went to his solo tour the next year. So glad he's getting the recognition he deserves.

The show is usually broadcast here in the U.K. A few days later so I'll have to see it then, but I just saw some of the performances on YouTube. Adele's GM tribute was terrible. Just terrible. Who did that awfully drab arrangement of Fastlove? It was off key even after the restart. GM was a vibrant, upbeat soul and the tribute did not reflect him at all.

Thankfully the Prince tribute pulled it out. So happy for that one.

Gary CLArk Jr. Also makes a great musical cameo in the Jon Favreau movie Chef. He's an actor too and had a starring role in Honeydripper.

Shawy's Annual Grammy Recap:

-I'm SO FUCKING GLAD Adele won AOTY, ROTY and SOTY over Beyoncé, I'm sick of how overexposed she is and this is a lesson for her to actually write her own stuff and just make music and shut the fuck up without any drama.

-Bruno Mars slayed the game TWICE, I'm still in awe of how sexy and seducing he looked in that Prince outfit.... plus that solo, plus that 90s R&B breakdown.... daaaaamn boy.

-And oh, congrats to Bruno for also winning a Grammy as a producer/songwriter on the 25 album. It's his 5th Grammy.

-Chance is legit the coolest cat in the buisness, much props to him for being genuine and polite, you could've had any other rapper win BIG like he did and act all cocky and shit.

-Tribe nailed it, one of the finest moments @ the Grammys ever (on any other stage really). Also slayed by Anderson Paak on the drums.

-Beyoncé's performance was meh, nice visuals tho, but I feel like she stole those motherhood/pregnancy monologues from a Terrence Malick picture. It's nice to see visual poetry on display, but it just felt too pretentious.

-One more thing: Adele should stop being apologetic for being a gangster and sweeping the whole night. Beyoncé has 22 GRAMMYs for fuck's sake, it's not like she lost her kids or something.

-Justice for ANTI, that's one good R&B album really, but I like how Rihanna constantly threw major shade during the whole ceremony (While Bey was giving her tragically boring speech for the Urban Contemporary win, Rih kept chatting and laughing and drinking with her friend lol)

-Katy's performance was HORRENDOUS. The song is literally shit, her hair was shit, her whole comeback just feels so unnecessary.

-As for Gaga, I feel like nobody is talking about her or even remembers that she actually performed on stage. She should've laid low after the Super Bowl and come back sometime with something else.

GREAT post thumbs up! I agree with everything! I wish Adele would stop kissing Beyonce's ass every time she beats her. I think Adele deserved AOTY/ROTY/SOTY over Beyonce but if Rihanna had been nominated for Anti, I think she should have won over both to be honest. Anti was the best album in 2016. It was a great creative and artistic accomplishment for Rihanna.
