'FUNK BIBLE' BOOK IS FINALLY OUT TO ENJOY As as member of this community since its beginnings, a Prince fan since Soft and Wet and lifelong funkateer I wanted to share that the funk music book I began writing more than 25 years ago is finally out and available as an ebook on Amazon. It's a life goal of mine to help funk music stay alive and receive the acclaim, respect and attention it deserves.
The album reviews-oriented book is called "Everything Is on the One: The First Guide of Funk."

Wow just got done reading the first couple pages. GOOD STUFF manI will have to get myself a copy I am impressed. Do not own any funk books other than in relation to Prince, Motown or Michael Jackson. Read up on your bio and your pictures with the true funkateers wow. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Great! But... Before I spend my hard earned cash... How is your book different from the one by Ricky Vincent or George Clinton's autobiography? In other words, what do you have to add to the story? | |

I was glad when Ricky's came out that it was significantly different from mine and that's why I continued to finish it, update it and get it out to the public. My book is more reviews-oriented, broader and I think more personal. He focuses more on social contexts and academia-type analysis than I do. I think our works complement each other nicely. This was done purely for the love of funk and music, certainly not looking to get rich from it. If you've got funk, you've got style. | |
