And to me Gold had that attitude in damn near air track. Billy Jack Bitch is my fave Prince cut of all time. Just a throbbing, pulsating sweaty workout. Them horns are cutting some chyt up. But for some reason when I think of greatest funk albums nothing by Prince nor Rick James for that matter even enters my equation. Their's is a cleaned up, polished brand x version. What can I say other than I've been spoiled by the masters that preceded them both. The gut bucket dirty chyt.

I would say that the best 'funk album' that Prince ever produced is the Time's What Time Is It? album.

Probably not on the same level of funk as George Clinton/Parliament. I was just listening to some old Cameo. My favorite album by them Cameosis had a few funk Jams as well a great ballads. This was the real Cameo when they seemed to have 100members.

So MANY! I'll just go with the 1st one that comes 2 mind: George Clinton's "You Shouldn't-Nuf Bit, Fish." 1983 Capitol Records. LOVE every single track! Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Exodus was funky as hell. But it was spoiled by the syrupy-sweet Chery Cherry and 20 minutes if useless segues, so, sorry Tora Tora... You lose! And I really am sorry because when he was good, he was good.

Most definitely Yes the classic big band Cameo is all I want from them. That is that tight funk. Highly syncopated, precise and polished sound. The pre-Alligator Woman stuff.

Full disclosure: I haven't heard All the funk albums ever made. But, of what I have heard my favorite is Slave's "Stone Jam"...to use one of the terms they coined.....it's "stellar fungk"

Traffic Jammer also one of my faves by them but for overall album have to go with Too Hot to Stop. If you've got funk, you've got style.

Also my fave Slave album. Title track is epic. Yes. That's their best, most complete, no fillers included album! Front to back awesomeness! "Dreamin'" is my favorite now, but back in the day when my brother would play it over and over again I hated it! I had some growing to do....musically.

Stone Jam is one of the greatest albums period...regardless of genre... Mark Adams (RIP) bass playing on "Dreamin" and "Feel My Love", is godly...

Slave's "Show Time" album was great, too... "Wait For Me", "For The Love Of You", "Snapshot", "Party Lites", etc... theyve always been my second favorite band of all time...even the few members that left, and formed Aurra, had a few smash joints...there was alotta talent in Dayton Ohio...

My favorite Bootsy album Even though I always think of Boots when it comes to top funk albums I just can't put one of his on top of the stack. However, I still rank his 78 Tour as the top all time funk performance. Just pounding, and tight too.

The Black Album is definitely funk It's solid as a rock, solid as my big black cock. The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!
