I have liked old boy since the NWA days. His production skills are top dog. I recently saw a special on him on one of the music channels and I am sure impressed with his achievements...Does anybody else dig the Dr.???

of course. He is the Quincy Jones of Rap/Hip-Hop Producer's IMHO.the Cat has a Magnet for Finding the Right Acts&also staying One Step of the Hustle.

After Ice Cube left NWA, they made a song against him called Benedict Arnold. He came back on his album Death Certificate with a song titled No Vaseline calling out everybody in his former group. He seemed to take it easy on Dre though simply saying "Yo Dre stick to producing". After Dre and Eazy E had there falling out it seems he took Ice Cubes advice and it worked out well for him. He is a very successful man.

Mixed feelings about Dre. Met and hung with Andre back in 84 when he was dee jaying some club around cali and then later performing with the Wreckin Crew. He was a pretty laid back dude and clearly had a good business head on his shoulders. Later when the NWA thing hit I about fell out my chair when they were talking about how hard and "real" these cats were. Dre was a lot of things but "hard" and "street" wasn't one of them. While I won't denying Dre has a good ear for music, that's really were it ends. He even admitted this when interviewed after Michelle's album came out, saying that he would listen to the beats and tracks and give his input from there. He isn't a song-writer in the traditional sense as much as he is a good judge of what will and won't sell. What Dre sounds like depends on who is in his camp at the time. I can tell he has lost some creative people over that last few years because to me his beats have gotten pretty stale. On top of that I have some issues with his role in where hip hop is today but that's another story and it's lunch time now so it's gonna have ta wait

I don't have much time to search on google, but do you remember that song he did about women? You know, in the video Dre is dancing with all these exotic dancers arond him talking about how he's going to take 'all 10 of them'...???

I was really surprised when he came out with the song, but he didn't do a song or video (like that) after that one, and I wonder why, do you?...

Dr. Dre is cool though, when I first heard of him, it was with him and Snoop, the song 'G-thang',which I was really feelin' so much, I'd stay glued to my boom box... He makes cool beats!
