Sly Stone--Que Sera, Sera... So ironic that Sly is still here...and Prince isn't. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I like this more than the Doris Day version which was called "Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera) " from The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956). It was directed by Alfred Hitchcock and the song won the Oscar for best original song in a film in 1957.

This is the best version that Sly did of it. It was released on a UK CD on the Castle Communications label called "The Collection" - obviously a case of the wrong take being used, but it's even more out there than the "Fresh" version. You can pick this compilation up at a cheap price online...

Wow. I've never heard that one before and it's definately "more out there" than the album version but I love Sly's vocals on this take...
