If you juxtapose the videographies of Madonna and Janet Jackson, the two most influential female popstars, you could pretty much see where specifically each was influential, especially when you look at some of the biggest and best selling female artists since the turn of the millenium. So I look forward to Janet Jackson''s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this month. While it would take a while to look through all the videos, it's still interesting to see how they were both highly influential but clearly in different ways.

Are there any thoughts on this? You have three stars in Britney Spears, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga who were the biggest female pop stars in the world at some point during the last sixteen years and their "artistry" was blatantly influenced by Janet Jackson as much as anybody when they were at their most popular. So I can't imagine Janet Jackson not being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
