25 years ago we lost a LEGEND Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara) passed away November 24th 1991 from AIDS-related illnesses. Gone but not forgotten, 25 years later.
Here is one of his more haunting songs with Queen (although not really a big hit) in a particularly magical performance from Hyde Park 1976:

Time flies! The Innuendo album was a perfect send off by Queen (with Freddie). Bijou, These Are the Days of our Lives, Don't Try So Hard still pack a punch and showcase a man, while in poor health, still fighting until the end. The epitome of an icon, legend and rockstar! And Freddie wasn't just a great performer and songwriter, he - like "our" very own Mr. Nelson - had a sly sense of humor that occasionally surfaced in interviews
