In the Now - by the legendary Barry Gibb (Bee Gees) We had a thead about this, but it apparently auto locked.
Last week Barry Gibb released his first solo album in 32 years and his first album since the Bee Gees 2001 album This Is Where I Came In. He also did a Barbra Steisand album in 2005.
It's been way too long since he made new music. He's back, and the music is really strong. Check it out:

Dissapointing that this album hasn't drawn more interest, both in general and on the org. Why does our society forget about our legends while they are alive, a phenomena that is pretty unique to musicians. There was a time when the music on this album would have been massive. Now it barely gets noticed. This doesn't happen to legends in acting, writing, directing. Why does our society treat musicians so differently.
I'm still really enjoying this album a month later. My daugther still asks me to play it whenever we're in the car. Really loving Diamonds, Grand Illusion and Blowin' A Fuse. Yet somehow Cross to Bear is the song that I find most often playing in my head when I'm not listening. |
