The Commodores Lionel Richie's last stint with the group. They were touring on the

In The Pocket album. Cheryl Lynn was the opening act with Maze and Frankie Beverly

in between. That was probably the last time Maze opened for anybody. lol

Beatles - 1964 (it could of been 1965 but only Meet the Beatles had been released in the US at the time.) - Rome

We were on a family vacation and I was 6 or 7. I had gotten my first album "Meet the Beatles" and fell in love with it and them. My father surprised us by coming into our hotel room and saying that we were going to go to the Beatles that night. I almost lost it. Thy were playing in an Auditorium or theatre, couldn't have been more than a few thousand fans. The hysteria that was associated with that era of the Beatles was out in full force. I remember that the screaming was so loud I decided at one point to try it myself, and couldn't even hear my voice. It kind of scared me lol . This experience spoiled me for concerts until seeing Prince on the PR tour at the superdome. More screaming neutral .

You aren't dead yet! Go see concerts whenever you can! You never know who will end up being a legend.

I wasn't privileged to go to many concerts in my youth but my sister (who hated this kind of music) bought tickets for a xmas/birthday present and took me.

Allman Bros Band, Pittsburgh 1973. I was 5 so I barely remember any of it, but I DO recall they did One Way Out which was my favorite song at the time. Good times.

My first proper pop concert was Prince, Sign O' The Times tour in Utrecht, The Netherlands (1987). I was 15 years old at that time and although my parents hated Prince, they allowed me to go to the concert together with some friends of theirs.

It was a fantastic experience, such a great tour and the excitement in the arena was tremendous. I remember my dad's pal handed me his binoculars so I could have a good look at Cat Glover's sexy dancing! lol

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Yes, you are right RodeoSchro. The past few years have been kinda tough for me and as a result, i somewhat lost sight of some of the things that give me joy. Since I'm here in Las Vegas though, I should, and am, going to start taking advantage of all the opportunities to attend the concerts, musicals etc, that come through this place...

I guess Vegas is good for something. biggrin
