Thanks for bringing that up. There actually is another piece I like from his 1971 album; "Thank You for Talkin' to Me, Africa". I'll see if I can include that somewhere in the playlist, and look into Sly's discography a bit more. Do you have any suggestions?

Ah yes, "Luv N' Haight" and "In Time" are a must! "Brave & Strong" and "Frisky" are also good. Both "Hot Fun" and "Don't Call Me Nigger" were released in '69 however.

Here's some old threads: Obscure #1, 2, 3, 4.

.

I think most of it is from the 1970s.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I don't like Loose Booty and haven't listened I Get High, but yes, i'm aware that those were hits back in the day.

Nice! I will check them out.

Temptations' "Up the Creek" is not bad. I would need a few more listens. I want to include "Funk n Roll"! However, Quazar's album is not on Spotify.

It also is unfortunate that Quazar's bandleader passed away prior to their album's release, thus making this their only album. neutral

I like "I Get High On You" better than "Loose Booty". Yet, those two tracks did not 'wow' me.

I ended up including "Luv N' Haight" and "Thank You for Talkin' to Me, Africa". I have yet to find a place for "In Time".

Well obviously I am gonna say there should be more P-Funk on the list. That being said I am still moving my ass off to these jams.

I have included a few more P-funk songs along with others that have a similar style. "Ridin' High" by Parlet is definitely a new favorite.

I will continue looking for more. Yet, if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
