"Baby Don't go" was my 2nd fav Cut off His Debut Album."Kelly's Eyes" was the Jam but overall I like His Hits far better than his Albums IMHO.His written&production on Other Folks stuff overshadows His Own Albums IMHO. mistermaxxx

I really liked "Kelly's Eyes"..
it was sort of like (if I dare make such a comparison) Andre's "soft & wet" the "I want to get into your underwear" line still stands out to me (hm. I wonder why.) & also really liked "satisfaction" from the last album he released (that I know of): "the harder you try the more you get.. SATISFACTION" fewer lines are truer! once again, Nettie, I'm digging your taste in music! GO 'HEAD ON WIT YO BAD SELF! I'll see you tonight..

I had high hopes for Andre. He disappointed me. He DEFINATELY had the talent. I have all of his records; you can hear genius in them. If he had tried less to be different from Prince and just been himself, he could have surpassed the P comparisons by making great music until he had his respect. Oh well; such is life.

GOOD point; you basically hit the nail on the head. Maybe André thought he was already so "close" to Prince in so many ways that he had to "distinguish" himself from Prince.. but like you said, somewhere in that effort.. he got "sidetracked" or something.. I'll see you tonight..

I think Andre felt He had to do something different because He helped put so much into Prince's thing&also Association is hard to shake&the Industry at that time wanted another Prince ASAP&Andre didn't play there Game.but in hindsight it would have been interesting to hear how things might have gone had he Played it Straight up.If he had tried less to be different from Prince and just been himself, he could have surpassed the P comparisons by making great music until he had his respect.

I see Jody Watley is touring again.
What's the status with them 2? Are they divorced?
