Update on all this: Pete's ex-wife Lynne stated she was having trouble affording the service & burial. Boy George has stepped up and said he will pay for Pete's funeral and burial. Pete apparently died "penniless", or close to it (although what was his husband doing/making?). Lynne and Pete's husband Michael Simpson got word from George that he will pay for it all. Pete was a big person in many people's lives, including George's. And, actually, George is quite generous at times, and helpful although we don't hear about it much (as we didn't with Prince, but learned later).

Interesting note: Pete and Lynne were married 25 years, before divorcing and Pete marrying Michael. They all stayed close as friends and lived very near each other in NW London. I also didn't know that paramedics had revived him, but then learned he was already brain dead. That's even more tragic, IMO.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

That's so sweet of Boy George to pay for Pete's funeral. It's sad he died broke. I wonder if all the plastic surgery contributed to his early death?

I mean, it's doubtful. Cardiac arrest can happen for many reasons. That heifer Jocelyn Wildenstein or whoever is still clomping around NYC, and she's had more work than MJ, Joan Van Ark, & Pete put together. But it certainly took a bite out of his bank account over time, among other factors.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I was completely shocked when I heard the news that Pete Burns had died. He was an incredible visionary and helped define the music and fashion of the 80s! I was one of their biggest fans (DOA), and I absolutely adored Pete Burns, whether or not he changed his face or not -- he was still the same beautiful person on the inside! He was so smart & funny & talented and I will miss him more than words can say. We lost too many good people this year. Enough already!! sad
