Albums, released in the 2010s, that feel ahead of their time? It's really hard to consider records that are out right now ahead of their time because basically most artists today like to experiment and think outside the box and every new sound can now be seen as "the sound of the future". I guess in the 60s The Beatles, Brian Wilson and King Crimson made some pretty groundbreaking shit, you could say the same about Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Giorgo Moroder... the ArchAndroid by Janelle, LP1 by FKA Twigs and Visions by Grimes sound pretty advanced. Any records that ring a bell?

She's only made one album as far as I know but a bunch of us orgers geeked out over ART SLAVE by Amalia in 2011. It may sound neo soulish if that's a thing but even five years later it beats the funk out of many records that have come out since then. I can't remember what I had as the number one album of '11 so I'll give her that spot by default. Jeux Sans Frontiers
