Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour Concert Film Heads to Showtime

Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour Concert Film Heads to Showtime

Documentary features behind-the-scenes footage from massive trek, Sydney show

Madonna's spectacular Rebel Heart Tour will be the focus of an upcoming concert film that will debut on Showtime.

Madonna's spectacular Rebel Heart Tour will be the focus of an upcoming concert film debuting on Showtime. Nearly nine months after the trek concluded, Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour premieres on the channel on December 9th at 9 p.m. EST.

.

Definitive guide to more than three decades of dance-pop anthems, confessional ballads and boundary-breaking self-expression

The documentary, Madonna's first since her 2013 film MDNA World Tour, offers behind-the-scenes footage from throughout the seven-month, 55-city trek, as well as Madonna's March 2016 concert from Sydney's Olympic Park.

.

The set list boasted Rebel Hearttracks alongside acoustic versions of "Like A Prayer," "Secret" and "Don't Tell Me" and her first ever in-concert per...ke a Bow."

On the Rebel Heart Tour, during the performance of "Unapologetic Bitch," Madonna frequently invited fans or special guests onstage to dance along to the track. Among those who joined her were Amy Schumer (who also served as opening act for select dates), Ariana Grande, Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Diplo, Anderson Cooper and Katy Perry, whose appearance features in Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour.

.

In his review of Madonna's Madison Square Garden stop, Rob Sheffield wrote of the tour, "She hasn't reached so far onstage, musically or emotionally, since her 2001 Drowned World extravaganza. Her last couple of tours had spectacular performances, but dodgy set lists. This time Madonna has much stronger new songs to play with, from Rebel Heart — and she brilliantly revamps the hits."

Really? Because just about every tour since The Girlie Show has had a worldwide release on VHS or DVD. (Blond Ambition was a laser disk limited release it seems - or there abouts).

Anyhoo - I'm so not a fan of Rebel Heart. The album seems thin, desperate, unduly trendy, and messy. But I'm always down for a concert DVD.

If anyone follows her on social media, you'll see that she's posted snips of the first cut, and even a viewing party at her house.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

some inormation on this project

http://drownedmadonna.com/exclusive-info-on-madonnas-

We realised that many of you are wondering if it is a documentary. So lets start with this….

No, it is not a documentary. It is a concert film, which will include some behind the scenes footage as well.

But how long is the Rebel Heart Tour film?

We can reveal that the movie is 2 hours long.

The teaser of the Rebel Heart Tour premiere on Showtime is in black & white. Is the Rebel Heart Tour filmed in black & white as well?

No, we can tell you that Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour film is in very vibrant colour. Some black & white will be seen in the film though.

We already know that people in the USA can watch the premiere of Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour film on Showtime. We have been told that it will be available on-air, online and on demand in the US and all Showtime’s partners. But what about the rest of the world?

DrownedMadonna.com has learned that the Rebel Heart Tour will be available in Canada through Bell Media. While, other territories around the world and other platforms still have to be decided.

Finally, we want to point out that every DVD covers and promotional banners that you may see online at the moment are absolutely fake.

We also remind you what we posted a few days ago. The DVD of the Rebel Heart Tour is not expected to be released before the end of 2016, according to what we heard from Madonna’s Italian label.

Not sure why you see it as desperate or trendy. It has more ballads and midtempos than her last couple of albums.

Rebel Heart is one of her better albums, much better than MDNA or Hard Candy.

Is she going to be at the AMA's tonight? Rebel Heart is nominated for Best Tour.

I want to know because otherwise I don't watch crappy awards shows!

Award shows are annoying to me, so self congratulatory unless Madonna wins an award. LOL

Hard Candy was hottt! I think I may be one of the few that loved that one with a passion. many of the songs are funky, experimental and undeniably catchy.

I agree that Rebel was better than MDNA however. Rebel Heart's trendy type songs brought it down a bit however tracks like Unapologetic Bitch, Heartbreak City, Body Shop, Living For Love, Ghost Town and Holy Water really made it a standout album of some of the best Madonna tracks to come for a while.

I didn't go to this tour cause I was not liking the controversy that came with this era and her immature behaviour, but I did like 3 songs. I also think there is a better version of rebel heart that should have been used instead of the album version, she would have instantly gone to #1 with that.

But I will try to catch it.

I agree Hard Candy was an amazing and underrated album. Better than any other shit that year, I was playing it along with discipline and e=mc square all year round. If you ask me, she was so on point from American Life through Hard Candy.

Right. The songs are very catchy and melodic like Candy Shop, Incredible, Dance 2Nite and Miles Away. They follow a structure that is memorable while still taking musical risks.

She slipped on MDNA, it was supposed to be a "return to form" but the songs were not catchy or endearing sans I'm Addicted, Girls Gone Wild or even Turn Up The Radio. Which tracks did you like on Rebel Heart?

Beat goes on was also a favourite on HC, a huge relief after the garbage demo that leaked although I caught that playing at a store long after the album! Candy shop was one of the weaker ones but it's nice as an intro track on the album more than first single, and more polished live with a stellar performance

On rebel heart, I like ghost town and the title track. The first single was nice too, had all the key elements of a good Madonna song but I couldn't get into it 100 percent though I wanted to. The samplers really did nothing for me like previous Madonna albums and the innuendo seemed more attention seeking and desperate than bold and witty and silly with a good point. MDNA took me the longest time to appreciate, it's really noisy and agitating but highlights for me are the ballads and the Nikki Minaj duet.
