Yuuuuuup and Duran Duran Here is another classic jam The Rain (1986) by Oran "Juice" Jones. I remember Eddie Murphy quoting this song in Raw (1987).

And I love this classic jam by Gwen Guthrie RIP called Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent (1986) which was also quoted in Eddie Murphy's Raw (1987) which I give 4 out of 5

Yes you are right love all these, have countless, best of the 80s sets with these songs usually on the R & B and urban discs in the set. The Juice song is funny with its spoken bit - I wanted to flat blast you with my jammy, but did not want to mess up this $3500 lynx coat, and Everything you came in here is waiting for you in the guest room, you flat head, alley cat crump cake wearing" and all that shit. It was like Morris Day meets Eddie Murphy.

This pimp ass singer - Oran not Janet, only had a few more songs and one hit in 1989 called Shaniqua (I kid you not, the rachet name shot to number 165 in 1989 most popular girl names as a result). In the song Oran tells Shaniqua that she better be hungry in a restaurant when she refuses to eat, he is like some ghetto ass pimp.

Love Today by Judith Hill from the Red Hook Summer Soundtrack. The movie was on yesterday n I watched the first 20 mins or so (I had 2 go to work ) n while I was thoroughly bored (slow movie 2 start n I had only watched it in full like once, plus I had 2 go to work ) by it, this song is played in full almost full blast in the first few mins n I quite liked it. Looked it up today n am jamming
