Teddy ruled R&B radio (with some Pop hits) from about 1987's Keith Sweat's "I Want Her" - 1992 with Michael's "Dangerous" album? Michael jumped on the train late but I wasn't mad. "Dangerous" was NJS's last great run. I'm sure there were other sporadic hits that he was behind such as Hip Hop classic "The Show" by Doug E. Fresh, or "Go See The Doctor" by Kool Moe Dee but it was his co-production on "I Want Her" that put him on the map.

I'm not sure what his situation is now but if I recall correctly he ended up broke for a number of years. Hopefully he turned things around for himself.

Has anyone done a documentary on the New Jack Swing era? If not, one is needed. Although I was in elementary and middle school during those hey day years, the music sure was fun and brings back great memories. I'm glad that he's going to be honored at the Soul Train Awards this year, it sure is long overdue.
