Was lucky enough to see him onstage at Glastonbury with Coldplay ... he still sounded in fine voice!

Coincidently, the Gibb family is suffering YET another loss, the matriarch of the family, Barbara Gibb has passed away!!

From the last two weeks of 1977 through September 2nd, 1998, songs written by Barry Gibb were #1 27 out of 37 weeks, including a streak of 14 conseciutive weeks spanning 4 songs. He probably gets more weeks at #1 if they spaced out the singles a litttle more since his songs were knocking his songs out of the top spot.

He finished the year as teh writer of 5 of the top 8 songs of the year (as well as #11, #19 and #45)

The name of the new album is In the Now, a play on words.

I've been listening to the new song for a few days now and it still sounds fantastic. Barry Gibb will turn 70 next week (how can that be), and his vocals are still outstanding. I love all of the little background vocals he throws in there on this song.
