Bruno Mars, in some sort of Albus Dumbledore move, manifested 1 million ticket sales out of thin air on the first day of his tour sale. Perhaps it was some of that 24K Magic he keeps singing about??
The news is true. Live Nation reports that his 24K Magic World Tour sold more than a cool mill on Monday.
Billboard suggests that the achievement was boosted by Mars' performance at the American Music Awards and his first on-camera interview in four years on 60 Minutes. Or maybe he's a wizard. I'll let you decide.
Mars announced the 2017 jaunt last week, with a North American kick-off date in Las Vegas on July 15. More dates have since been added, and now he's got 100 concerts booked for next year, starting with a March 28 show in Antwerp.
