They're a gospel group. My grandmother had some of their 45s, so I heard them a lot when I was little. They were on a label called Nashboro.

Slave, Cameo, The Commodores, Midnight Star, Jeffrey Osbourne, Tevin Campbell (His story might be interesting), Sister Sledge, Can't recall if they did BT Express or Confunkshun...........Cameo was approached to do "Unsung" and they all said yes except for one person. And because of him it probably won't happen.

You've never heard of the Soul Stirrers, Clark Sisters, The Winans, or BeBe & CeCe Winans? Sam Cooke, Johnnie Taylor, & Lou Rawls all came out of the Soul Stirrers. The Staple Singers started out as gospel and so did the Oak Ridge Boys. Elvis Presley's background singers The Jordanaires were also gospel. The Edwin Hawkins Singers had a pop hit with Oh Happy Day. There was an Unsung episode about The Clark Sisters.

A Taste of Honey were part of the episode dedicated to disco. I agree that they should have an entire episode of their own. A group fronted by female musicians in R&B was practically unheard of at the time and years before Klymaxx came on the scene.

Nile Rodgers and KC & The Sunshine Band was also in the disco episode, but had their own episodes too.

They also have a 2011 documentary released on copies of Condensate that was sold in Best Buy. It lasts around 90 minutes and Unsung is only 35-42 minutes long without the commercials.

Can't they do it anyways? El didn't participate in his family's Unsung episode. One of the Clark Sisters was missing, one of the Emotions was missing as well. I don't think Renee of Renee and Angela didn't want to be interviewed either.

Watson would be great especially his guitar playing. Influential and undertated.

The Dells would be good. After first hit had likea ten year chart absence between mid 50s to mid 60s.

How about one on the Women of the James Brown Revue. They did Tammy Terrell. Nkw speak about Bea Ford, Sugar Pie, Marva Whitney, Anna King and Lynn Collins.

I think she's more known for singing with Marvin Gaye than for James.
