I am neither a fan or a hater. It does seem like she is going in the right direction now. I have always liked her look and personality. She was fun to watch on the Voice. She seemed more real than most of the mentors/judges and genuinely warm and endearingly freaky. Not so polished as Bey.

In response to comments about others hating her, there seems to be a real phenomena of people absolutely hating the women who have extreme success in the music businesss, whether it is Madonna, Lady Gaga, Bey, Rihanna, or Taylor. Perhaps it is partially due to wearing people out by being in the limelight so much, but I think it must go deeper than this as this abbreviated list is quit diverse in musical styles, their relations to the media, talent level, etc. People sure like to tear them down.

Even though I don't listen to Rihanna aside from radio play or when I'm around my sis (Anti is a really solid album btw), I like her overall as a performer and an artist. I was sympathetic to her during the Chris Brown affair, but it pissed me off when she seemingly got back with him for a short while. Stupid. Those other women you mention? I don't like any of them because to me they're fake and their music comes off as contrived and obnoxious.

Although, Lady Gaga is more of a mixed bag. Her first album/EP were pop fluff euro dance tracks that didn't appear to take anything too seriously. It was fun music. She also has a genuine talent for signing. Born this Way, though, yeeeesh. Suddenly she's a serious artiste who feels compelled to lecture the world on acceptance. Give me a break. Additionlly, her excessive neediness for the spot light (with those dumb outfits) combined with her dirty business practices of firing/snubbing people who helped make her successful leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Beyonce & Taytay can kiss my ass for all I care. At least Swift has some actual talent for song writing, but she cant sing and her music dealing with boyfriends & estranged lovers is so overplayed she risks becoming her own caricature. Not a fan of her public persona either. FAKE.

And Beyonce... dear god. Another attention craving joke of an "artist." She s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶s̶ *ahem* buys all her material and repeatedly releases mediocre/forgettable albums one after the next and somehow commands a huge following of loyal fans that refer to her as their queen. Queen of what? Ha! Who knows. At this point, I'd easily rank Rihanna's sum artistic output far above the schlock Beyonce has produced so far. Lemonade has been Bey's most interesting album to date imo (I also find Bey's stage gesticulations and choreographed face contortions interesting too), but once was enough and I'd rather to listen to Rhianna over Bey any day.

I don't dislike her, I'm just from an older generation and don't listen to her type of music.

Meerppp. Don't care for the music too much. I like her song "What Now" though. That is about it. She does get points for having Nuno Bettencourt as her guitarist. LOVE ME SOME NUNO. headbang

Rihanna seems to benefit from having a good team around her. I think she's fully aware that she's not the best singer but she is doing the best she can I think.

Trolls be gone!
