2Pac/Tupac Shakur Appreciation Thread Its been 20 years since 2Pac/Tupac Shakur passed on (on 13/09/96), and I think it would be great to have a thread devoted to him where we can post articles, pics etc. I have been listening to his music since his days in Digital Underground, and I've seen all his films and some of this television appearances (most recently I watched the A Different World episode in 1993 Called "Homey, Don't Ya Know Me?" on Netflix ) I think he was a complex person, and a great talent, RIP

Pac is a big favorite of mine. I imagine if he were around now we'd get more of a Kendrick Lamar vibe than the Gangsta rap persona. I think Tupac was very deep in terms of the topics he spoke about, he was a visionary and I think his association with Death Row, Sure, East v West got things twisted. For me I associate Pac more with the political rap of Public Enemy than I do with West coast gangsta rap. Pac was one of the best to do it and in retrospect I would like to see his music get the props it deserves. Songs like Dear Mama, Brenda's got a baby, Keep ya head up those represent Tupac to me and music and the world could do with another Pac today to speak their mind and be a voice for the voiceless.

I cant believe it has been 20 years
I remember it was that night Tyson fought that guy and gave that guy a quick knockout barely after the first or second round and we (me and other relatives) were mad it was at my grandma's house. Then once I got home I heard on radio Tupac was shot after attended that fight. And I thought he was going to survive so I didnt think much of it. Then on Friday the 13
I will play Tupac songs tomorrow.

It was a complete shock when he died, cause I thought he would survive this like he did in 1994, and come back strong [Edited 9/12/16 22:21pm] [Edited 9/12/16 22:53pm] Keep Calm & Listen To Prince

Tupac was the first artist I ever cried for when he passed. Actually I was in nursing school when he died and me and a classmate cried in class that day. He was the voice of a generation and still my favorite rapper ever. I wouldve loved to see what he wouldve became as he aged
