Its been 20 years since 2Pac/Tupac Shakur passed on (on 13/09/96), and I think it would be great to have a thread devoted to him where we can post articles, pics etc. I have been listening to his music since his days in Digital Underground, and I've seen all his films and some of this television appearances (most recently I watched the A Different World episode in 1993 Called "Homey, Don't Ya Know Me?" on Netflix ) I think he was a complex person, and a great talent, RIP

I think Tupac was very deep in terms of the topics he spoke about, he was a visionary and I think his association with Death Row, Sure, East v West got things twisted. For me I associate Pac more with the political rap of Public Enemy than I do with West coast gangsta rap. Pac was one of the best to do it and in retrospect I would like to see his music get the props it deserves. Songs like Dear Mama, Brenda's got a baby, Keep ya head up those represent Tupac to me and music and the world could do with another Pac today to speak their mind and be a voice for the voiceless.

I cant believe it has been 20 years

I remember it was that night Tyson fought that guy and gave that guy a quick knockout barely after the first or second round and we (me and other relatives) were mad it was at my grandma's house. Then once I got home I heard on radio Tupac was shot after attended that fight. And I thought he was going to survive so I didnt think much of it. Then on Friday the 13 my local dj announced he died I was stunned and sad. Still is sad and even sadder that his mother died recently and never saw her son's killer was bought to justice (i am not sure if that same guy that Tupac beatened up days earlier before he was shot was the killer).

I will play Tupac songs tomorrow.

It was a complete shock when he died, cause I thought he would survive this like he did in 1994, and come back strong I have been playing his songs all day (as its the 13 Sept here in oz), and later on will watch Gridlock'd (1997) for the 10th time Pac and Tim Roth make a great team as Spoon and Stretch, along with Tandie Newton as Cookie. Tupac was the first artist I ever cried for when he passed. Actually I was in nursing school when he died and me and a classmate cried in class that day. He was the voice of a generation and still my favorite rapper ever. I wouldve loved to see what he wouldve became as he aged
