Mary J Blige: Yo Fave LP/Songs!

Maaan, I love this woman 2 my core! her persona, her earthy vibe, her approach, her sense of humor, her strength and def her music. She represnt the ladies of all races and ages thats why she's very loved(at least most of all in here) I only saw her ONCE in 99 over here(Harlem) doing the Mary Live show and she just killed it, she put her blood, sweat, tears and laughs in that show.

My FAVE album is a tie between the Whats The 411/My Life/Mary simply becoz each of them have different anthems in them. WT411 carrys the crazy ghetto party girl while My life carrys the blusy abused one and finaly Mary carrys the blusy YET the strong and the confident one who knows where she stands.

My FAVE songs are(not in order):

-All That I Can Say
-I'm In Love
-Sexy
-AS
-I'm Not Lookin'
-Mary Jane(All Night Long)
-You Bring Me Joy
-I'm Going Down
-Be Happy
-I'm The Only Woman
-Love No Limit
-Sweet Thing
-You Remind Me
-Slow Down
-Seven Days(Remix)

Tastify goddammit wink biggrin

I just saw a music video with her, her newest single.. and I was like "Wow, I could become a fan of her".. hehe.. She seems like a cool person and I dig' most of her songs.. maybe I should listen to some more of her music!! I can't remember the title of the song/video I watched.. but it was different from her "earlier" stuff..

The production on MARY was so over-the-top, I looove that one. "Deep Inside" is too rich. And the photos on that album are the most beautiful images I've ever seen of her...and she's a beautiful woman.

Yeah You Is!I wanna like More of Her Stuff but I didn't like Corperate Suit Stuff She did for the most part after She Left Puffy&Crew.I Can't stand Puffy but what they did together on First Two Albums were tight.I Have most of Her Stuff.MJB is the Female Version of R.Kelly IMHO but I dig Him As Artist as much as you dig MJB.Fair enough.

Do you know why I love her sooo much? Cuz I look at her and I see my life. We both been through the same childhood(struggling in the ghetto and what not) substance abuse, we both have our shares of heartbreaks and we both are survivors. I know that alot of ladies are like Mary but in the music biz its sooo nice 2 see someone honest enough that you could feel that they've gone through what you go through(in a short sentence-represent you!). Honesty is something very rare in this music biz! ppl think that trashing one another means "keepin' it real" no its not. Honesty means that you're not fronting and you are TRUE 2 yo self mo' than to other ppl. Thats why I love the homegirl so damn much nod

I think they are:

'Love no limit'
'You remind me'
'I'm going down'
'Not Gon' Cry'
'Beautiful Ones'
'All that I can say'
'
Real Love' also, although it's rocked, it made her stance!

Also, her version of 'Sweeet thing','What's the 411' with Grand Puba, and I'll add 'No more drama' to the list because it's felt...

God I have her Fade To Black performance still on tape, when she did "You Remind Me". I LOVE her voice and she has always struck me as incredibly down to earth and humble. If I ever saw her in public I would run up and hug her. Sure it would prob freak her out but I really dig her.
