Who remembers this #1 R&B classic from 30 years ago?

YES! Love me some Jean Carne!!!! I don't know how I missed her 70's and early 80's stuff when I was a kid. I didn't discover her until "Closer Than Close" in 1986. Been a hardcore fan ever since. Her version of "Everything Must Change" from that same album gives me goosebumps! She is a ridiculously under-rated singer.

OMG! Of COURSE! I was driving a truck in Boston back then in '86 and almost CRASHED when I heard those soprano notes blowin' outta my speakers! I had 2 pull over and call the radio station just 2 find out who was singin'! I'd heard of her all those years, but never really checked her out. After "Closer Than Close," I went back and bought all her CD's. The woman can SANG her FACE off! MMP! LOVE Miss Jean! <3 p.s. Of course this kind of song would NEVER hit #1 R&B toDAY, sadly.
