Your Top Ten Favourite Kate Bush Songs We have a few Kate fans here, so I'd like to know what everybody's favourites are. I'll start:
1. Lily. (This was the opening track of the live shows in 2014 and she did the Director's Cut version, with the "who's on my right, who's on my left" part that isn't on the album.) 2. Song of Solomon (that line "don't want your bullshit, just want your sexuality" gets me every time. I was a Prince fan, but I wasn't used to a woman talking so openly about sexuality.) 3. Heads We're Dancing (it was a picture of Hitler! A surreal tale of the eve of WW2.) 4. Army Dreamers (sad but beautiful tale of lives gone lost.) 5. The Man With the Child In His Eyes (that goes without saying, doesn't it?) 6. Hounds of Love (she found a fox that was caught by dogs and he let her hold him in her hands. How sweet is that?) 7.This Woman's Work (Maxwell performed this when I saw him live in 1997) 8. Egypt (who else can sing about a Pussy Queen and sound poetic and sexy at the same time?) 9. Night of the Swallow (the combinationof her voice, the piano and the Irish sounds is just amazing.) 10. Cloudbusting (the closer of the live shows and therefore the closer of my list. Of course it's one of her best.) What are yours? [Edited 8/24/16 0:08am]

I love how everybody comes up with different choices! I wouldn't go so far as to say Kate's show was the best I ever saw, it was just unique. It recently saw George Clinton who creates a funky chaos on stage- the total opposite of Kate's highly choreographed theatre show. But I love 'em both.

And it also needs to be reposted here as many times as possible cause Kate Bush's music is food for the soul, and more people need to be exposed to her body of work. I think I need to add this gem to my list.

Oh man she is so good. She is up there w/ Joni Mitchell for me - totally badass role model for girls and some of the greatest songwriting I've ever heard - and singing and playing as well.
I have her first 5 on vinyl and Sensual World on CD.
I have to be totally honest though - I haven't listened to the Dreaming or Hounds of Love yet - I've been saving them for the right moments. I have heard maybe a track or two and was totally puzzled and intrigued by them both - especially The Dreaming and really look forward to finalizing the collection and enjoying all the great music.
What a champion this woman is.
